Salt Mine, Târgoviște and Mogoșoaia Palace
⏱ 10–12 hours
Down into the salt mine at Slănic Prahova, the Dracula tower in Târgoviște and the villages on the way, and back via Mogoșoaia Palace and its gardens.
A day trip that combines a remarkable place underground with history and countryside.
The first stop is the salt mine at Slănic Prahova – huge halls carved into salt that feel like nowhere else. From there you drive to Târgoviște, the historic capital of Wallachia, to see the tower associated with Vlad the Impaler ("Dracula") and the villages around it. On the way back to Bucharest you stop at Mogoșoaia Palace and its gardens.
